Clinical Content Standards

At Ahava Wellness, all educational content is written by Michelle Langley, MA, LPC, a licensed professional counselor and trauma-informed psychotherapist. Articles are created to offer thoughtful, research-informed information on anxiety, trauma, relationships, nervous-system health, midlife transitions, and related mental-health topics.

Our approach to content.

The articles published on this site are grounded in current clinical knowledge and relevant research. When discussing mental-health concepts, therapeutic approaches, or health-related topics, sources may include:

  • Peer-reviewed research and academic publications

  • Systematic reviews and evidence-based clinical literature

  • Professional mental-health organizations and clinical guidelines

  • Reputable medical, academic, and public-health institutions

Sources are selected for their relevance, credibility, and connection to the topic being discussed. References are included where appropriate so readers can explore the underlying research and information directly.

Clinical perspective.

Research does not exist in a vacuum. Articles may also reflect Michelle Langley’s professional clinical perspective and experience working with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, entrenched patterns, identity shifts, relationships, and midlife change.

The goal is not to offer one-size-fits-all answers. It is to provide clear, compassionate, evidence-informed context that may help readers better understand their experiences and consider what support could look like.

Updates and corrections

Content is reviewed and updated when new research, clinical guidance, or corrections warrant a revision. When an article is materially updated, the page will reflect its most recent review or update date.

Ahava Wellness aims for accuracy and welcomes good-faith correction requests. If you believe an article contains an error or needs clarification, please contact Ahava Wellness through the contact information provided on this website.

Educational content is not individualized care

The information on this website is for educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for individualized mental-health care, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Reading an article on this site does not establish a therapist-client relationship.

If you are experiencing a mental-health crisis, are concerned about your immediate safety, or are considering harming yourself or someone else, call or text 988 in the United States, call 911, or seek immediate local emergency support.
