As a telehealth practice operating across state lines, Ahava Wellness is committed to maintaining full transparency, protecting client rights, and complying with all state licensing regulations. In accordance with state laws in the regions we serve, the following disclosures provide information regarding professional regulations, consumer protection portals, and records access.
State of Texas Consumer Disclosure
Michelle Langley, LPC, is licensed and regulated by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC). The council receives and investigates complaints concerning the practice of professional counseling. If you wish to verify a license or file a formal consumer complaint, you may contact the council directly through the following channels:

State of Arizona Consumer Disclosures
For residents of Arizona: The Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners regulates licensed behavioral health professionals within the state. Complaints, consumer protection inquiries, or license verifications can be processed directly through the board:

Access to Medical and Billing Records Texas
In compliance with Texas law, HIPAA requirements, and professional licensing standards, active and former clients have a right to request access to or copies of their clinical and billing records.
Retention Policy: In accordance with Texas professional counseling regulations, client clinical records are securely maintained for a minimum of seven (7) years following the termination of services, or five (5) years after the client reaches the age of majority, whichever is greater. Records are retained and disposed of in a manner that protects client confidentiality.
How to Request Records: To formally initiate a records request, please submit a written request directly to Michelle Langley via our secure practice email. Requests will be reviewed and processed in accordance with applicable state and federal health privacy laws.
Access to Medical and Billing Records Arizona
In compliance with Arizona law, HIPAA requirements, and professional licensing standards, active and former clients have a right to request access to or copies of their clinical and billing records.
Retention Policy: In accordance with Arizona law, client clinical records are securely maintained for a minimum of six (6) years following the last date services were provided. For clients who were minors at the time services were provided, records are maintained until at least three (3) years after the client’s eighteenth birthday or six (6) years after the last date services were provided, whichever occurs later. Records are retained and disposed of in a manner that protects client confidentiality.
